Join us in welcoming our Bay Village Schools New Educators!

Website calendars offer many options

School dates and details are available on our website Calendars page.

New phone app puts school calendars, staff directory, news and more at your fingertips

Our new smart phone app will make it easy to check a calendar date, to get an important news alert, or to find the contact information of a staff member and then click on an email address, phone number or classroom web page and connect instantly!

Local Bay Village Schools parent, Mark Mutch, owner of Modern Media, developed the app. Mark also developed a similar app for our Bay High student newspaper, The Bay Window, making it one of the first high school newspapers in the country to go online with its own app.

Get the app on your smart phone:

If  you are viewing this on a desktop, laptop or tablet screen, scan the QR code at left with your phone. If viewing this on a smart phone, just visit HERE.

SchoolConnects will help us send voice, email and text messages to parents

Voicemail Messages will be used for important information like school closings and other issues where we want to notify you of an issue immediately. In most cases, the message system will stop calling you when it successfully delivers the message (someone answers the call or it is recorded on a voicemail system). For truly urgent or emergency situations, the system will call every number (all home phones, cell phones, work phones) that we have in the system for you. Duplicate numbers are called only once. Most voicemail messages will be sent as emails and texts, as well.

Email messages will be used for more routine correspondence such as principal and teacher updates, reminders of upcoming deadlines and events, etc.

Text messages are very brief messages where your immediate attention is required, and they will most often contain a link directing you to a webpage with more detail. (If you don't opt in for text messages, you will still get those important messages via voice and email.)

We will send a district-wide TEST message on Wednesday, September 18.

Would you like to get text messages on your cell phone from your school and from the school district?

Important: We must have the cell phone number/s in our school records for this to work:

Use the cell phone/s for which you want texts. Text:  JOIN to 56360.

You must also have allowed your cellular plan (usually you decide this at sign up) to let you subscribe to short code services.

If you have problems setting up for text messages after using a cell phone on record with your school/s to text JOIN to 56360, please complete THIS FORM.

Bay Village Schools, scoring high in some areas, will use new Ohio Report Card to focus on improvement

The Ohio Report Card is changing significantly as new measures for more subgroups of students are added. In addition, student growth, which measures changes in the annual test scores for each student, are given more weight. This year, the report card grades various component measures with an A-F.

Bay High School - Ohio Report Card 2012-13
Bay Middle School - Ohio Report Card 2012-13
Westerly Elementary School - Ohio Report Card 2012-13

(Note that Normandy Elementary School, grades K-2, is not rated on the Ohio Report Card as testing does not begin until Grade 3.)
