Melissa earned her Master of Science degree at the California University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to being a licensed school psychologist, she completed post-graduate studies through Cleveland State University, receiving licensure in Pupil Services Administration.
While completing her schooling in Pennsylvania, Melissa worked as a Crime Victim’s Counselor, Mobile Crisis Counselor and Behavioral Therapist. Following her school internship, she and her husband moved to Ohio in 1996. She has been working in schools since 1996 and has been with the Bay Village Schools since 2003.
In addition to her expertise in completing multiple types of intelligence, academic and social-emotional assessments, Melissa is trained in administration of ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and in crisis intervention team management.
Currently, Melissa is assigned Normandy Elementary, Westerly and preschool. She is the coordinator for the SEED program at Glenview. She also works with staff at
St. Raphael School to identify children with special needs in grade K-4.
